Lorie Guevara Ranker aka Lorie the Nomad, is an experimentalist painter who focuses on brilliant colors, mixed canvas mediums and experimental coloring, texturing & layering techniques. Lorie enjoys trying new artistic styles and techniques that create unique beauty. The themes of her pieces currently focus around introspective self-portraits, abstract sharpie line work, woodworking, nature, and vanlife. Outside of painting, Lorie is the founder of The Pilsen Art House, a diy event space that focuses on fostering events that bring the Chicago artistic community together to share ideas and create art. Lorie is an avid traveler and currently building a homestead/artist retreat in central New Mexico and managing the Pilsen Art House remotely. Lorie is a mother of two fiercely independent young men.
